I wish I could give this place 10 stars. A beautiful, clean, and spacious facility. Convenient class times in mornings, afternoons, evenings. Most importantly, the instructors are world-class, extremely talented and truly care about the students. They have a deep knowledge of their art, and take the time to patiently teach the smallest details. You will feel welcome here regardless of your experience level with martial arts. Come try out — you will learn a lot.

If you're looking to train Judo because you've always been interested it it or martial arts, THIS IS THE PLACE!
If you're looking for a place that will get you ready to compete in Judo tournaments, this is the place.
If you're a BJJer that is looking to build a stand-up game that is deeper than double leg or pulling guard, this is the place.
There's also wrestling, from the NYU assistant wrestling coach, which was definitely a change of pace for me, and has taught me some interesting drills and techniques.
How good is this place? People training to make the Olympics are stopping by on occasion. Quality knows quality. This is definitely a place for hard training.
Also, the location is very convenient to the ACE/123/FM lines.

Kano is great. Garry is very welcoming and trains his students to throw correctly and aggressively, while reminding them to take care of their partners. If you're looking for a friendly, bright, sunny (when the suns out), clean place to practice Judo, look no further.

This is home, the most welcoming martial arts gym I’ve ever been too. Try a class with Gary or Shintaro and you’ll always come back I promise.

I used to train with Garry at Renzo Gracie Academy. He treated me like family from day one. One of the best guys around. You will not be disappointed if you choose to train with him.
